Pro-North Koreans in Japan idolizing Kim Jong Un...
NHK has learned that pro-North Korean residents in Japan are cooperating with North Korean in establishing a personality cult around Kim Jong Un, the third son of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il and his heir apparent.
NHK obtained video footage showing a meeting of the central committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan that was held in Tokyo in July.
The association's Chief Vice Chairman, Ho Jong Man, called on people to support a power succession from leader Kim to his son, saying that the two are deeply respected and a new era in history has begun.
Other participants also praised Kim Jong Un. One party member said that support for him will grow into a flowering of the happiness of fellow citizens and will also grow into a flowering of the future of the next generation.
